Douglas County SheriffSheriff Tim Dunning has been the Douglas County Sheriff since 1995. He was one of the original members of the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council and currently serves as Chair for the Council. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigates Domestic Violence incidents with strict mandatory arrest policies of the Abusers and has dedicated Staff to this very important issue. The Sheriff's Office also serves Protection Orders and has one of the highest service rates in the country.
