Parking Variance Permit

A Parking Variance can be requested by a resident or business owner who has a need to park a vehicle or several vehicles in an area where such parking is currently prohibited.

For example, the resident who wishes to have a gathering at home but cannot provide parking in a private drive and "No Parking" signs are posted in the street.

Provided certain conditions are met, the Omaha Police Department will suspend parking enforcement at the address for a specified time.

Acceptable reasons for the permit must be outlined.
The parking of vehicles on the street must not interfere with the passing of emergency vehicles into or through the area.
