Planning is an essential function for Housing and Community Development.  Developing programs and identifying projects that effectively meet the housing and community development needs of Omaha, then managing them, is challenging.  To meet that challenge, the Housing and Community Development department works in partnership with residents, non-profit agencies and community organizations that have a stake in revitalizing Omaha’s economically and physically distressed neighborhoods.

HCD Planning covers three topics:

• Area and Neighborhood Plans - Provides redevelopment and revitalitzation plans for specific areas and/or neighborhoods.
• Consolidated and Action Plans -   
• Environmental Plans - Discusses environmental compliance reviews for Federally-funded projects.
