| Parks and Recreation Announces Activities to Keep Omaha Active |

January 6, 2010 – The City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department announces upcoming activities to “Keep Omaha Active” during the winter months.
A wide variety of activities for all ages are offered at twelve Community Centers, three Indoor Swimming Pools, one Ice Arena and one Indoor Tennis Facility. Motto McLean Ice Arena continues to offer the popular Sunday Family Skate every weekend. The cost is $10.00 for a family of 4 and $3.00 for any additional person. This includes admission, rental skates, popcorn and drink. Times vary each week.
The City’s indoor swimming pools at Mockingbird Hills, Montclair and Common Ground Community Centers offer swimming lessons, open swimming, lap swimming and Aqua Fit classes.
The City also has the perfect venue for a winter birthday party. Party rooms and ice skating are available by reservation at Motto McLean Ice Arena, party rooms and swimming are available at Mockingbird Hills, Montclair or Common Ground Community Centers, and party rooms and gyms are available at any City Community Center. Many Community Centers offer Special Events on days when school is not in session.
