Foundation

Foundation Mission:

The Douglas County Community Mental Health Center Foundation was established in June 2002 to serve the Douglas County Community Mental Health Center (CMHC), its patient community, and its staff.

The Center provides educational opportunities for staff members by promoting patient and staff morale and by improving the work and care environment.

The Foundation accepts contributions from the following who may wish to assist Douglas County Community Mental Health Center in meeting its purposes:

  • members of the hospital community
  • other persons
  • corporations
  • governmental entities

Foundation Accomplishments:

The Foundation has purchased furniture, computer equipment, curtains, concrete basketball court, games, books, and arts and crafts supplies for CMHC patients. Furniture and computers were purchased to upgrade provider offices and refreshments have been procured to support continuing medical education offerings at the CMHC.

The Foundation sponsors the monthly "spirit of excellence" award given to a deserving CMHC employee.
